    That's a pretty broad question...
Presumably this is the National Pharmacy Association (formerly National Pharmaceutical Association)
Have you visited their website ... www.npa.co.uk ??

Could you be a little more specific?

You phone the RPSGB to back you up for anything you don't want to do. You phone the NPA for backup for those things you do want to do.

The NPA are great if you are an employer, but if you have a problem and your employer won't back you, then they are a waste of time. Personally I'm not a fan............

              thanks for all your comments

there seems to be a wide spread opinion!!

where do they perform well and where do they need to improve?

They are largely a contractor organistation* - and their support for contractors is good - suppliers of MAR sheets - malaria charts - steroid warning cards and the like.
As far as day to day pharmacy is concerned their information department is good, but most queries nowadays can be solved with local drug information departments. Useful for stuff like where to obtain unlicenced products.

                * They do allow individual pharmacists to join - but I've never felt the need - and I'm not sure how many actual NPA members use this forum rather than locums or employee pharmacists.
