  • Confidential Information

I rang up for a job vacancy to day in a chemist. It took about 2 minutes for the phone to be answered, which is fair enough as they may be busy.

I spoke to the lady who told me the position was still open. I then asked who the pharmacist/manager of the pharmacy was. I was told that this is confidential information and that this kind of information 'can not just be given over the phone'.

This is the first time ever I have been told that the name of the manager is confidential.

The only reason im sharing this is because it is quite unusual.

      Re: Confidential Information

I never give my name out over the phone or let my staff do so. A couple of years ago there was some dodgy company pretending to be from the pharmaceutical journal, can't remember what it was about, but the PJ stated that it wasn't them, so I never give out my name.
