Unit 12 - Legislation that applies to maintaining pharmaceutical stock?

Hello everyone, could someone point me in the right direction .. I'm trying to add 5.3 to my activity for unit 12

'unit 12 5.3 - understand your own responsibilities and current legislation that applies to maintaining pharmaceutical stock?

I've looked up GPHC standards - no mention on maintaining stock, I've had a look on the google but haven't had much luck :-(

I am sure you keep fridge items in the fridge and check expiry dates, don't you?

I’m curious. Why do you think the GPhC, the registration body for pharmacists and technicians, would set the standards for maintainIng pharmaceutical stock?

Im also curious as to what you googled for. I did a quick google using the terms ‘maintaining pharmaceutical stock’ and found exactly what I was looking for.

I do suppose you check expiry dates, keep fridge items in the fridge and CD items in the CD cupd. Also have cautions perhaps on shelf front re Diabetic meds and methotrexate.
Also that items kept in alphabetical or pharmacological order. New items put at back of older stock, or do you just leave products to go out of date. When dispense an item do not bother to reorder?
Or, do you just heap all products in a box? Sounds like you do!
