  • Prescribing Advice

I have recently moved abroad due to my husband's job and intended to be a stay-at-home mum for a few years until we return to the UK. However, the local practice has asked if I could do some prescribing advice. I have 10 years' community pharmacy experience but have never done prescribing advice. Can anyone direct me to websites which may be beneficial?

    Re: Prescribing Advice

    Hi

I am a community pharmacist and do some part time prescribing advice for a local surgery. I would receommend doing s PG diploma in medicines management if you going to do it seriously otherwise websites I found useful are: Nice, Merec, Clinical knowledge summaries (all googleable). The most useful is CKS for clincal info.

    other websites:
http://www.npc.co.uk/pdf/gp_prescribing_support.pdf (a very useful starting point - tells you about how to go about it)
    http://www.prescriber.org.uk/
Prescribing Support Unit | The NHS Information Centre (very good for back ground on PACT data, star-pu's etc.)
