believe it or not, at one of the workshops at uni, we have been told by a hospital pharmacist that artificial saliva is not effective way to treat dry mouth, and sucking ice cubes or chunk of pineapple is the recommended practice.

It wasnt a dental script, it was an FP10.

Ended up giving glandosane as the only 50ml I could order. I know its a spray and not liquid.

Luborant is the only artificial saliva preparation that can be dispensed against a prescription for ‘Artificial Saliva DPF’. Unfortunately, Luborant has not been available for a long time, and is unlikely to ever be available again, although it has not been officially discontinued. If you receive any further scripts for this item, the best option would be to contact the doctor in order to get a script for something else.

As a temporary measure, I would suggest making up a thin lemon jelly and using this.
