  • Returning to work

    I am about to return to work after a few years away. Having previously been employed in the retail sector of pharmacy I wish to start my return there, however I am aware that some changes have been made.e.g. There is now a running balance for CDs, MURs, Sign Posting and Minor Ailment Schemes have also been mentioned...etc. I would like to know how best to approach these new initiatives ? What is best practice ? What are the most commonly made mistakes ? etc

    Can anyone help ?

    Re: Returning to work

    There are 'return to practice' courses organised by CPPE I believe.

    In the meantime talk your local pharmacist and ask if you could 'shadow' them for an afternoon.

      Re: Returning to work

      I highly recommend a read of the PSNC's "New Pharmacy Contract Workbook", which explains all about signposting, MURs etc... and most of the other changes that have occurred in Retail Pharmacy recently;
