  • Dermacolor & Dermablend Questions...

    Hi guys!

Received a couple of FP10 Rx today for:

    - Dermacolor fixing powder 60g (Dark Asian)

    - Dermablend cover cream 0 Pale Ivory (can't remember the quantity)

Does anyone know where I can order these? (I don't know the 'P' number for the fixing powder, looked at a few websites and one of them mentions:

    P1 - white
    P2 - light
    P3 - light beige
    P4 - soft brown
    P5 - dark
    P6 - light brown
    P8 - dark brown

I guess 'dark asian' would be 'somewhere' from P4-P8?

And what about Dermablend? Suggestion anyone? Sorry if I been stupid...

With Dermacolour and Dermablend the initial colour check is done by a trained professional so the colour selection should be correct and you should try to get exactly what was ordered.

Best if you can see the actual form filled out by the person that did the colour match as I have seen the wrong colour transposed to the Rx.

The company you then need to contact is Fox, their website is:

    Dermacolor

They should be able to sort out what you need.

Thanks! It says 'through a medical referral from a consultant or GP'... probably need to ask patient to go back to the dr. and ask for their referal... don't think pharmacist would count... and I just spoke to the dr. today and she doesn't know anything about 'P' numbers...

In the past i've got patient to phone Red Cross and its all been sorted out. Not sure whether GP referred or not, but as patient had a Rx for camouflage cream, i think that was enough!

Have you tried looking in Chemist & Druggist price list for manufacturer? If not can your wholesaler source it for you as a special?

I think that Dermablend was bought by L'oreal. When I was in Portugal, they gave us training on how to use it because they were launching it there.
