    a stock solution is diluted serially by 1 in 25, then 1ml of this solution was added to 20mL of buffer solution, what is the overal dilution factor? what is the main problem with the 2nd dilution

    hope i get this right. 1ml of a 1/25 dilution will have 0.04ml active (ie 1/25). Add this to 20ml buffer and you have 0.04mls in 21mls. 21/0.04 = 525 factor dilution. The problem with the dilution is if you allow one responsible pharmacist to control two pharmacies, you dilute the number of job vacancies for community pharmacists by a factor of 2. ie 50% less jobs. So the solution is to oppose this in your consultation reply. HAHA. Did you see how I did that? UP THE WOOLY!!!!
