  • Canesten 1% cream licensed for under two year olds?

    Hi all,

Someone pointed out to me recently that Canesten 1% cream cannot be sold OTC to children below two years for candidal nappy rash. I looked up the SPC and PIL and neither state that. I also contacted manufacturers and all they said was that it can be recommended by a dr or a different healthcare professional to children and babies for fungal nappy rash. Anybody knows?

    TIA,

    Evelyn.

Maybe the 'someone' looked at the wrong SPC and PIL.
They are organised by licence rather than by indication.
Pick the P med and you get the right info for pharmacy sale.
