  • Band 8a Pharmacist Interview Qs

    Hello all

I was wondering if someone can help me.

I've got my first band 8a NHS pharmacist interview next week and trying to research what kind of questions I would be asked, does anyone have any questions they've been asked before?

    Many thanks,
    Isaac

OK, questions likely to be of a general nature at first...see format set out by previous poster (Search in search box on say interviews).
Then may be some specialised to see what you know about the area. I used to know the cranial nerves by something like ooptfagv (was over 60 years ago!). Vagus most important in pharmacy I think. Get googling. You should know basic lay out of brain.
          best wishes and good luck.

Probably you will be asked for your starting day after they have asked you much more interresting questions. :-)

I had an 8a interview a long time ago, as well as asking why I wanted the job and descriptions of difficult situations I'd had to deal with, I also had to answer clinical questions on amiodarone and ciprofloxacin amongst others

As you say " a long time ago".You did not return to post questions to help others. Unless people asking questions do this, cannot expect all take and no give. Would you get sufficient info from your post?

                    Hi all

I completely forgot about how I posted on here. So unfortunately, I did not get the job. To be honest, I was glad I didn't. The environment for the interview was not good. The information I received prior to the interview was not what happened on the day (i.e. there was a clinical test, more people were on the panel then first told etc). I just had a bad vibe about it.

However, I have since got an education and training job at a Trust, which I love, as well as teaching at a major University one day a week.

Things work out for the best I guess

So, you wanted to know what type and content of questions asked....so do others. Please give proper feed back to help others.
