  • Actimel and warfarin

Just a question... does anyone know whether someone on warfarin can drink 'actimel'? One of the staff said her husband who is on warfarin (he never had actimel before) drank some, and he felt sick and terrible afterwards. After his wife told him to stop drinking it he felt fine again...

I'm not sure if it's something to do with his warfarin or the fact that he's just 'allergic' to actimel

Only in the same sense as yoghurt and milk! Might slow absorption if taken at the same time I suppose.

Can he eat cheese and take milk on cereal? Much the same I would think.

Now cranberry actimel might be a different thing-if such a thing exists.......

Could it be a lactose intolerance?

Report it as a possible adverse reaction on the Yellow card scheme.
