Hiprex Tablets Anyone?

Hi all,

Does anyone happen to have any Hiprex tablets or know where to get them? We have a patient who needs it and the doctor wants this particular antibiotic prescribed.

This rang a bell with me. Very similar if not identical to Mandelamine. Popular in the 60s for UTIs. Believe was marketed by Warner.

Have seen a couple of prescriptions for it in the past couple of years. I think we have a part pack (not sure) on our shelf.

Internet says discontinued. See used as prophylactic rather than treatment. Replace with a sulpha such as Gantrisin (Sulfafurazole)?
