Just wanted to update everyone that maybe interested. I have finally heard that my ex boss has sent the reference forms through to my new employer and as a result, I have a start date for my new job!!!
The relief I feel is incredible. Being unemployed for a few weeks and having the potential offer of a great job but being held up by this person has been a frustrating and difficult experience. I took the advice that I was kindly given on here and this could be the reason for the reference suddenly appearing. So, i'd just like to say a huge thank you to all who replied with advice and suggestions. The one thing I did learn this past few weeks is you can't rely on people the way you used to be able to.
Anyway, thanks again everybody.....
