Lets say I am using these figures:
(A) Income from fees was £11,000
(B) Amount of petrol money paid by companies was £500 ( I separated it out, but it is paid together on all invoices as usual)
(C) But the total number of miles (before company deductions e.g 20miles for Boots) I did was 4000 miles.
(D) And all other expenses (like PDA,GPhc, parking, etc) was £500
Obviously, total income is just A + B
And for expenses:
If i did 4000 miles @ 40p = £1600
So Petrol expenses = £1600 - £500 = £1100
Then when you add on D its £1600
So total expenses is £1600 and so total profit is £9400
And then
tax due = 0.2 * 9400 = £1880
Just need some peace of mind to make sure I'm not making any stupid mistakes.
