I got my BTC locum job from BTC website. With Sainsburys, I just visited the store and left my details.

Actually I've heard of folk doing part time employment with Boots and locuming the rest of the time (obvious advantages spring to mind). How easy is it to get a part time position with them?
only disadvantage is if the locums are with Boots, you will just get paid per hour whatever your permanent position gives you. Have one friend who a part time one, but its only since that store has a manager who only does part time as well, and it gets split between two pharmacists. So usually its a case of finding a store which already has another part time pharmacist there.
Sainsburys have their own system now called venloc https://www.venloc.co.uk/sainsburys/
does the venloc system work?
yh it works but. if there is a job going (for sains) you must be registered with venloc. u will have to apply online via sainsburys website for a job and then pass a test. Porvided you pass the test you get called for an interview.
The test is only for a job application however the venloc system seems to be specifically for locums only. However after registering nothing seems to work on the website??
You have to put yourself down for a particular pharmacy (or some particular pharmacies) and they will e-mail you when the schedule is open. You go back on to Venloc and select the pharmacy you're interested in, page through the diary till you find some days with colour on the page, and double-click on the sessions you can work on. The system tells you the times and the rate, and you click on OK. Do that for any of your selected pharmacies and times, and the system will record that as 'requested by you' You can request any session that is not already booked. When Sainsbury's look at Venloc, their display says 'Session requested by salsa22 and andrew.paxton and whoever else', and they select on whether you can do services and how close you are. They don't like to pay travelling expenses, so they tend to choose people from their own area. Look back on the system in a few days time, and you'll see if you have any bookings. They will e-mail you to confirm about two weeks before the session
