    Indeed, the multiples no longer employ an extra pharmacist in some of their busiest branches. The 2nd pharmacist was often predominantly a 'checker'. They do not wish to pay £25 for checking when they can pay £9. Due to the need for clinical checking it only works well in specific cases however eg. nursing homes, MDS, some PCS scripts.
