Go into the nearest branch and ask.

I suggest you use the search facility afforded by Google to ascertain the telephone number of at least one Boots pharmacy in the area you wish to work. Then dial the number and when the person at the other end answers you can ask them the question. They may not be able to answer the question but they will be able to pass you on to someone who can.
On second thoughts, you should follow Johns' advice as when you enter the pharmacy, you may notice that they sell toilet paper thus enabling you to do something else for yourself!
Perhaps there was a Freudian slip when he chose his name.
So many expect everything to be done for them.

Go on chaps you know you want to help.
Let me google that for you
Where am I?; In the Pharmacy.
Who are you?; The new Number 2.
Who is number 1?; You are number 6.
What do you want?;..................
Thank-you all for your replies. Some of the sarcasm was not necessary (although I do appreciate how 'dependent' my request seemed)
I have called several Boots stores and usually they don't seem to have the number (strange, what do they do when a pharm calls in sick?). I eventually got the number for a particular lady - I have left a voice message and sent her an email, and no response.
I don't want to join an agency because in these times of austerity, multiples avoid the use of agencies, in London especially.
Please - if anyone has any contact details can they drop me a private message or post on this thread?
thank-you.
Telephone calls are regarded as a nuisance to the staff and they will try to fob you off. Better to go into store and ask dispensary staff.
Have you 'phoned the locum office at HO.?

Our locum co-ordinator does not appreciate us giving out her contact details to someone who walks in off the street. She has told us to direct all pharmacist locum enquiries to head office in Nottingham (number on the internet somewhere). Plus the co-ordinators use agencies for Techs/ACT's/Pharmacists. If a Pharmacist doesn't turn up, we call the co-ordinator and they then use their back-up people to step in at the last minute. Hope this info helps you a little bit.
I got my work with BT by going to their wbsite which had lists of vacancies and contact details. Perhaps it still does.
