    Hi there,
don't jump in without checking there will be enough work for you. Coming up to winter, a lean time for locums quite often, it really doesn't make sense to give up regular employment, but to negotiate a drop in hours with Lloyds if that is what you feel you want.
    ....just my opinion

    Re: Locum agencies

Hi the thing is I wont be able to start locum until January 2012 because I need to give 3 months notice and I fancy a bit of break so from that point of view its fine also I just want to work 3-4 days week because that would give slightly more than what I earn with Lloyds so I am sure I will be able to find 3 days of work every week.

But as you mentioned I would like to find out how much work their out there before I start locum which is why I wish to be referred to some good agencies!

Lloyds did send out a letter to every locum showing how employment worked out more than being a Locum.

I think having been through Lloyds pre-reg training programme what I learned is that the company is very miss leading from what it claims to what it actually provides for its staff, I don't at all agree with the fact that being a Lloyds employee is more profitable than being a locum, its true you have regular work, but the way I figure my wages are £15 an hour, which is at a lower bracket, so I am better off locuming three days a week from which I will get more or less the same wages working 5 days a week. But its not for the money I just want a bit of freedoom and learn my job both as a pharmacist and retailer rather than be lectured by bunch of idiots. Because I think being a pharmacist is an awesome job but the profession has been hijacked by multiples led by idiots who dont know what it means to be a pharmacist!
