Just wanted to ask how many of you lucums have formed a limited company, and whether the tax savings you envisaged have actually materialised, taking into account the accounting costs, costs of running a business account and whatever other costs there are in running a ltd. Company.
I've locumed for the last year now and am wondering whether its worth forming one especially since corporation tax is coming down and Class 4 NI is going up from this April. I try to work 5-6 days a week and hopefully get a yearly gross income of 50-55k.
Have any of you used Shipleys tax consulting advertised above for your ltd. Company? How gave you found them?
Would appreciate any help,
'costs of running a business account'
If you open an business account with Nationwide, no charges and you will be paid interest. I have had one for 15 years with no problems. Must have saved 1,000s.

Been reading up on this IR35; do locum pharmacists who work somewhere different everyday fall outside IR35?
