    Quickey.

    If you are a locum, you are self employed. This means you are a business in your own right, therefore, you need a business account. This costs about £5 pm from Barclays. If you do not have one you are going against most banks T&C I bet most locums dont have one.

    Secondly, what are the benefits of registering a company with companies house and putting transactions through this?

    There are tax benefits to opening a Ltd co account- Especially if you work hard full time. ask a decent accountant- You pay youself dividends which have less tax liablity- Am I allowed to recommend my accountant? send a PM?
