Notice period!! ASAP

Hi guys,

I have just been offered a permanent job and they want me to start at the beginning of November but I have bookings up until the 19/11.

What is the expected notice period for locum agencies (pharmaseekers in particular) and do I have an obligation to complete these bookings even if they fall beyond the notice period?

I have had cancellations on the day. You are giving over a week's notice. Should be no problem.

Pharmaseekers are fairly nice people, and it isn't a busy time of year. Have a word with them and ask them if there are no dates they cannot cover. If there are any, you wouldn't be legally obliged to cover them at this point, but morally I would feel bad if I didn't.

Your new employers would stretch a point for one or two odd days, I'm sure (ish).
