Yes--i know you are allowed to work. But I thought you would be tied to one employer, who would sponsor your work visa, rather than being a self employed locum, since you are not EU. Maybe I'm wrong, but it's worth checking.

Also, I don't think the reciprocal agreement still stands-you may have to repeat your pre-reg in GB. Check with RPSGB.

But they don't amount to double time at weekends!

Did they ever?

I remember a New Zealander who wanted to work days for me and fly to London every night to work in a late closing pharmacy, 300 miles away? He expected me to fund his air fare.

Nice if you can get it though.

We once employed a Rhodesian? who waited for his annual trip to London to pay the air fare, resigned in London and then joined the army who would fund a medical student through medical school as long as they did a minimum contract afterwards. Last I heard he was a Consultant Paediatrician.
