so, just to make all this understandable, the post to which this refers has been deleted by a moderator for blatant advertising.

From post 7: I guess it all depends on your experience. I used to get bookings from one of the agencies you mention, but after being double booked FIVE times in less then one month I left them.

I also find some agencies just outright lie to me.

Come on admin - spill the beans!

I've had poor experiences with pulse and preferred; the more enthusiastic they are, the worse the job is. And they promise one rate, and when you get paid a lower rate, they won't back you: they would rather keep the pharmacies on board than keep the goodwill of their locums.

Would anyone recommend any agencies covering Cardiff/South Wales?
Lots of the nationwide ones never seem to have any welsh vacancies and I am moving there to start my locum career next month so any insider knowledge would be most welcome!

I used to use agencies for my occasional spaces, but as I book direct with all the places I work, and I have no spaces, it doesn't arise. I used to be with Pharmaseekers (good, but tended to double-book me with Boots with other agencies (I didn't put that well: I would turn up at a booking and find that someone from another agency also turned up. When I checked, I had been moved somewhere else, but no-one had told me.)
