Naaaaaahhhhhhhh, they are trying to trick you. £20-£21 for a newly qualified is the norm in London. Because there are loads of newly qualifieds ready to work for this rate, just to get some work, it will spoil the market. If you are desperate for work go ahead and book (it would only make difference of £8 to £10 for one day) but on a long run it may affect your overall income and you may be branded a cheap locum. The other effects of accepting whatever these agencies or multiples offer, is that you will be compelled to work under a lot of stress and less staff. Since you had agreed for such a low rate, they may think you are desperate and may even ask you to do whatever they think is best for their business, so you may lose your independence.

Anyway, it's your call at the end of the day and all the best.

I didn't take it. I figured they'll think I'm desperate and do exactly wat u said give me crap jobs..oh well. I got registered on tue and have 4 confirmed jobs so far for august. So will jus wait it out and see how it goes..im thinking of going straight to co-ordinators rather than agencies. thanks for that Shan, I was for a minute thinking i'd made the wrong decision.

If they are too lazy to go on an internet forum they won't last long as a locum
