Moving to Welsh Wales!

Hi,

Is there anyone on here who locums in South Wales?

I am moving to Cardiff next month and intending to start work as a locum once I get there - does anyone have any advice for me?

It would also be nice to find people to chat to who live in Cardiff as I won't know anyone at first

Hey HB..

Only advice from me re Cardiff is to avoid take-away pizzas. They resemble manhole covers and induce instant IBS. Also, their caravans have no windows, only 'plywood curtains'. Slag Gavin Henson for me, and tell him Munster Rugby don't want him.

Terry Griffiths is pretty cool though.

I'm in Wales these days but an hour or so away from Cardiff.

It's just like England except no hassle filling in the back of scripts.

Learning about 6 words of Welsh has helped a lot this end but appearantly they're practically all English in Cardiff so shouldn't be too bad

Really?...Are the Welsh aware of this? As I rememeber, Thatcher closed Wales in the 70s..The Welsh, Scots and Irish are still a bit unhappy about that...

Seriously, tho, I was a bit nervous the first day but when the first 2 or 3 customers say "that's not what I ordered", "well, it's on my copy of the script" and "the surgery said they'd bring the script today", I was straight back into the groove.
