    Working with Locums

We've recently had cause to work with a number of different and new to our branch locums. Our regular manager has changed her hours drastically and this has had quite an effect on the team in the dispensary (me and my lazy colleague) and the girls in the shop.

So, for four days a week, we are having someone different and usually new coming to our branch. I hope that we've made them welcome and provided the right amount of support and assistance to each of them. The point of this posting is that suddenly, the quality of locum has become amazingly high. We used to get all sorts of strange folk who thought working was something we did whilst they sat and read their paper/book. But not anymore.......not only are these locums hard working, professional, helpful and genuinely careing but they are an absolute joy to be around. The one we had today who had driven from London bought me chocolate and said thanks for the help he'd received. And he joined in in all the daft things we get up to during our working day.
The fantastic young chap who worked with us last week was so kind and helped in anyway he could.

So just a little thanks to those lovely people who have worked so hard and made our days a hell of a lot easier. God bless ya......
