and in fact some people might say the skills of a pharmacist in a household are more useful than a builders especially when there is a 2 y/o baby with a rash all over their tiny body, are sensitive to light and have a stiff neck!!!!!!!!

I think most parents don't need a pharmacist in that situation to tell them what to do.

You'd be surprised at the number of people who come into the stores I work in with really ill/lethargic children covered in rashes, normally from council schemes and/or imigrants who are dumbfounded when I roll a glass across the rash!!!!

So Edna - an old lady comes in with an 18 item script - does pharmacy say
"Oh dear this is overprescribing in a big way - lets see if we can sort it out" or does pharmacy say "Edna - why don't you let us pick up your scripts from the surgery for you - and even deliver them if you'd like us to"

I don't know what kind of people your colleagues are, have they heard of MUR's? Ouch!

Regardless, if you read my post, the public perception of a pharmacist is trustworthy and of the tradesman as an Arfur Daily. Little do they realise our district managers try and make us behave in the way above. However little Edna doesnt realise she has been ripped off as she gets her drugs, it doesn't cost her owt, AND she gets them delivered, bargain!!!!
