I'm researching for a Channel 4 documentary about the experience of getting your first tattoo. We are looking for a presenter who is either a current student or a recent graduate and who is considering getting a meaningful first tattoo, eg; one that represents the loss of someone close to you; a boyfriend/girlfriend/parents name; a word or symbol that has helped or inspired you through a difficult time, etc. We would like to observe our presenter in their everyday life, as they speak to a variety of different people in order to make their final decision; to tattoo or not to tattoo?
We would also like to know whether people considering a tattoo take into account the place they get one based on what potential employers might think? Are you doing or have you completed a degree such as Law, which requires you to have a more 'formal' appearance? Could your new tattoo potentially affect your chance of gaining employment if it’s visible? Would your career even be a factor in your decision making process?
I appreciate that many students and graduates will have other things on their minds right now, but if you or anyone you know might be interested in being involved in the documentary, and some of the themes described above apply to you, please send me an email and ill get back to you with more information. Many thanks and have a good week!
