Hi everyone,

Im going to be doing my dissertation next year and I was wondering if someone could offer some advise. I want to do it in Pharmacy Practice. Apart from the choices the lecturers present to us we can make our own suggestions. In case I don't like any of the options, what could I suggest as an alternative?

I always thought it would be interesting to study the level of clinical knowledge/knowledge of pharmacy law possessed by community pharmacists or support staff at various stages of their career and comparing it to the ideal and suggesting how this could be remedied.

Either that or you could do something similiar to what I did, finding out students' satisfaction with a certain element of the course. For example you could find out the expectations of people going into first year and compare that with the attitudes of people just finished fourth year with regards to how the course was. Or do the same with the clinical placements that are in the course or before and after people's pre-reg year. Than you could suggest how things could be made better.

The clinical knowledge bit sounds good. I always wonder on thast one too. The main reason why I want to go in to hospital pharmacy is to retain the clinical knowledge!
