    Tutor reference

    Hi,

Can anyone give me a bit of an insight into the kind of things that a tutor should include in their reference for my uni application.
My tutor has written mine, but I can't help feeling that it's a bit bland.
I've had a job in a pharmacy now for a few years and I'm doing an NVQ there too, but the tutor uses words like my maths ability "adequately supports my science subjects" and says that I "remain convinced of my own suitability" for pharmacy.
When I read it I just felt like it was'nt showing how much I want to do pharmacy.

    Any comments appreciated.

    Re: Tutor reference

Usually in an attempt to get the numbers of 16/17 yr olds in their school going to uni to go up (and therefore make them look like they're doing a good job) tutors generally will write whatever they can to make it look like the candidate is a model student, even if it means distorting the truth somewhat.
