how to write about work experience in PS.

Hello, I'm writing my personal statement for pharmacy 2011 and I have a weeks work experience in a community pharmacy. I'm wondering how do I incorporate this into my personal statement? There's no particular situation which stands out to write about.

Is it ok to write about the communication skills I expanded upon in dealing with customers and skills gained as working as part of an active team?

    Any help? Thanks in advance!

Re: how to write about work experience in PS.

In my own experience....looking back at my own personal statement for my application to pharmacy school I realise how rubbish it was and how stupid and naive of me to put down some of the things I've written down.

But anyway, with regards to your problem ,since nobody has bothered to write you an answer after 2 days, I suggest you use your imagination and over glorify your whole work experience: aka learning to BS.

I know community pharmacy can be rather mundane at times so you'll have to kinda learn to sugar-coat everything.

In terms of real suggestions, I would write about what you did and what you learnt from the experience (so your communication skills and team work skills are a plus). For the team work bit, you can write about how you learnt about the different roles of each staff in the pharmacy and how vital their roles are in order for the effective running of the pharmacy.

General tip, ADD value to every thing you write. Don't just state you did this or did that. But say how was it useful to you etc.

I wish I could provide you with better help than this, but unfortunately I'm a bit too wrapped up in my own troubles right now.
Good luck and all the best!!!
