    True, your campus library should provide most of what you need, or nick a copy from someone in the years above.

    I still have a maths book that I have barely used. Cost about £30 too (the lower end of prices for textbooks) but the lecturer for basic mathematics provided enough material in his lectures that it was never really needed. Of course, extra reading becomes more important in later years...

    I too made the mistake of buying books in advance that were never looked at.
