............or do we just love to moan and groan about this and that??

is there not more stressful jobs and careers than pharmacy? do we not get a good pay?

I would like to know your opinions as i hear this far too many times by fellow students and other pharmacy friends .

what is your personal views about pharmacy and what actually interested you in the career or did you just end up there by Coincidence? and what do you think is your biggest achievment while working as a pharmacist?

Yes its stressful.
The main problem is that there is no control over the workload.
If you think about other walks of life they have periods of preparation and stress.
The work might be more varied.

Sure there are lots more stressful jobs, but i don't do them so i dont care .

I think pharmacy is more stressful than it should be, thats the problem

Can only speak from experience of the three year degree, in the days before computers!
Its a challenging course, you have to be very organised to keep on top of it.

Frankly, I've been in this game for 23 years. The hours have always been long, the job has always been stressful, and the pay has always been shite. My greatest achievement as a pharmacist will be retirement. Stick that up your data bank. Next question/questionnaire/poll?..........

i found the degree hard going at times, as for the job...its as stressful as you make it out to be...

people are quick to moan about it all, but rarely do anything about it...i'm guilty for doing that!

there are worse jobs to be doing out there, as for the pay..if you're after money hospital is not the best place to start, but its better than pushing pills behind a counter all day!

I had other careers that are beyond stressful but there was always some degree of control whilst carrying out the "jobs".....I feel that the way pharmacy is today, I have very little say in what I do compared to when I started back in the 80's. The main thing for me is back then, if a customer abused you, the Pharmacist would throw them out and ban them. Now, we have to take it and kiss their a**** or we'll get binned!!! There are other problems but that bugs me more than most.....there you go...told you I liked having a good moan!!!!
