Q) Drug A of RMM=200 is provided at a concentration at 10mg/ml. A 0.2ml aliquot of this is added to 100ml of water. What is the mass of the drug?
Q) A patient is given eye drops of 0.5% w/v at 1 drop every 2 hours. If the volume of 20 drops is 1ml, how much of the eye drops (mass) is given over 2 hours?

Q1 either lacks sufficient information or thye RMM is just put in to trick people, the answer would then be 2mg, now am I the only one who thinks these questions are actually quite easy, i worked Q2 out in like half a second in my head and Q1 in the same amount of time once i worked out what it was on about.

Okay, so calculations are not my strongest area...but that is why I post on here...to get help! And some people are kind enough to actually do so and I am extremely grateful to them...i do post too much...

Just hope you do not have to calculate a dose of say, potassium chloride.
Looks as if you need basic maths. Perhaps you have seen the adverts on TV with lots of hands making up faces etc. That is the sort of basic help you need.
In the meantime learn your times tables. We all had to until it was automatic.

Sol i agree that these q's are easy. Are you a first year student shenzys ? I don't think many first years are taught radiochemistry in which case these kind of q's should come as second nature by now. Maybe you should buy a calculations book and work through it through the summer.
