    Is this a strange decision??

    Hi, I am a year 2 Pharmacy student!~
I have applied both boots and llyds placements~and they rejected me!!~
i was soooo disappointed and kind of hopelessness because i m scared dat i may not hav a community placement for next year and the pre-reg year!!~~
Therefore I think about taking a gap year after yr 3 and try to get an industrial placement by dat time!~
Is dat a very strange decision??
What kind of things i should be aware while applying for the industrial placement???
I had a bad result in my A-level, will that be a problem of applying???

    Thank you sooooo much!!!!!

I agree, if you wrote your application letter that way I see why you didn't get selected.
TBH if you want to work as a professional you should start acting so, and this means proper communication. I would be horrified to ask my pharmacist a question and all I get is dis and dat !

When I was in export, often enjoyed vigorous political discussions with various viewpoints. My contention was that the avaerage man did not care a toss about politics. If he had shoes for his feet, a wristwatch on his arm and a full belly, then by and large he was happy. If a govnmt could provide these, and few could at the time, then they would have a happy population and secure future.

I used to visit govnmt offices and usually found that the more palatial the govnmt offices, the poorer the people. Still holds good today.

There is no doubt most MPs came into Government to help their constituents. However when you arrive on the first day of the job, and there is a large bowl of sweets waiting for you- almost everybody would dig their hands in and never look back.

A-levels have NO bearing on getting a summer placement or industrial placement.

Just because you didn't get a placement this year doesn't mean you can't get one next year. Bear in mind that competition with 3rd yrs is high and very few second yr students can get one - those that do are lucky buggers.

Yes its a strange decision to take a gap year. Things you should be aware of ? - overusing exclamation marks, question marks and spelling.

    Thank you everyone!
I didn't write my apllication letter in this way.
I admit I have very poor grammar and I am working on it.
Do you have any recommended books to improve grammar?

Books ??!! This is something taught in primary school, although many kids grow up and find cutting vowels out of words more easier. Anyway looks like you've done a good job with grammar second time round .

    haha!
Well, I am an international student.
To be honest, english is a very complicated language to me.
I have tried to read some english books, but it is kind of annoying because need to keep searching the word from dictionary. It used to take me one hour to read about ten pages.
