that research is about PH the definition and so on. then we r going to know what r it's uses or applications on medicine(how does it help on it) and also on agriculture

our proffesor asked us to do that simple research (as he said)

Oh dear, sounds as though you need to start simple. Ph ,as I said, is the negative log of Hydrogen ion concentration. 'P' in maths means negative log.

It is a measure of the degree of acidity or alkalinity of an aqueous solution.

Ph of 1 would be concentrated acid. Ph of 7 is neutral and Ph of 14 is concentrated alkali.

Ie at Ph 1, concentration of hydrions is 10 to power of -1. Ph 14 is 10 to the power of -14.

The reverse would be true in terms of hydroxyl ions.

All this should be in an elementary physical chemistry text book, or see Wiki.

Not wishing to upset anyone, but the simple research and answers to all your basic questions could be obtained through easy use of wikipedia and several search engines, as johnep quite rightly point out.

Please don't use us as a personal research team - stretch your own abilities and your mind first! You will learn far more by doing the search engine work yourself, and it will increase your skills toolset instead of having to rely on other people to do your work for you.

What happens if you are sat at a pc in a pharmacy and get a hard question from a customer / clinician. Reply with "I don't know, I'll go ask someone 3,000 miles away to look it up for me."
Personally, I would much rather be able to say "I don't know, but if you give me a few minutes I could find out for you".

Just as a question, which school of pharmacy are you attending, nosha? Is it one of the ones below?

So, do you now completely understand what pH is and how it affects every area of our lives. In countries where water may be polluted, soft drinks are bug free due to the low pH of carbonic acid.
