I read about some academic research the other day, probably in an old copy of Raoul's Daily Mail, that college students are spending so much time on Facebook (etc) that they are failing to pass assessments.
This reminded me of some news a little while ago that some students were adversely affecting their employment prospects by what might be called "promiscuous honesty" (look it up) on their Facebook pages.
As it is no longer fashionable for us qualifieds to give quotable answers to your many questions, I would like to offer any student, on payment of a reasonable fee, that I will look after their Facebook pages, censor photos and content where necessary, correct spelling as needed, "poke" their "friends" at regular intervals, make new and generally more suitable "friends" for them, and in all other ways help students to fulfil their Facebook obligations.
In this way the student will find they have so much more time to complete their own research and assignments than at present, and also to conduct real relationships in the real world, with a secure professional reputation behind them (in this case, mine).
In order to assist me in this task, I am undergoing CPD, of course. My current subject (done compl8d txtspk) is, of course, "Teech yersef Chavspeke" so that I will be able to communicate in the local on-line vernacular, innit.
