Hi

Basically you need to write a short story mentioning the actions you took. I.E
Labelling the prescription matching it with the prescription etc. Just say what the performance criteria requires you to do in sentances.

Prescriptions and labels are just supporting evidence. Proves you did it, so ensure that the date on the account your write match the dates on the script and labels.

thanks for the advice i will muddle on now with 1.3. the whole unit is so big will take forever to do it. how many examples of reports did you do for 1.3. i was thinking i might get it done in 7 does this same ok. that is one for range a,range b etc.

I'm not sure how many I did. But you could do it in less. Say you was given a prescription with a few items on, ie a cream, tablets or even all plus capsules. As long as you mentioned that you checked each item, and say what item against the prescription matching the performance criteria you will be able to use all those ranges for cream, tabs and caps for just that one accout.

You mind me asking what course you are doing? Buttercups or NPA. I did a little of assessing with Buttercups till I then was offered a job in hospital and was torn with what to choose. But Ive always wanted to be in hospital so i took it and will be starting there in 4 weeks. Are you in hospital or community?

Private human scripts are exempt from VAT, Vet private scripts are vat charged.
Emergency supplies are subject to VAT.

hi,thanks again for the advice. i am doing the NPAa course but i am based in southern ireland. the course datail is very much the same but slight differences occur with legislation and pricing issues. hopefuly i will be able to get through it with not too much difficulty!!

hii stephanie....this is ravindra, new member of this forum...I am doing my 2nd year in nvq3 as well...Ihave done units 4,2,3 and 11..and i haven't done unit 10 so far as i haven't done the counter assistant course..do I actually need to do the medicine counter assistant course to do unit 10....
right now I am starting unit 6 (31 knowledge requirements to cover) quite a long unit...
can you please help me on this...

I haven't done unit 10 so far as I haven't done the counter assistant course..do I actually need to do the medicine counter assistant course to do unit 10 or can I get a nvq3 certificate without completing unit 10. till now i had completed units 4,2,3,and 11 and just started unit 6....
