Getting more involved

Hey guys, I was thinking since being a newly qualified and pharmacy is going to be my bread and butter for the next few decades, I wish to get more involved with PCT, NPA, Royal Pharmaceutical Society and LHB (if that is what it is still called) any ideas how i get myself into such committees?

Join your local branch/pharmacy forum. Good for networking and increasing your confidence. I have been secretary,chairman,and treasurer of my local branch.

I am going to sound very dense, but how do you find such organisation, I was heavily involved in the BPSA as an executive in my final year and I know their was forums and stuff but because of change of RPSGB to GPhC I can't find any lead.

Go into nearest pharmacy and ask.
If they do not know, Society used to have list of all branch secretaries etc. Call them.

If you are an RPS member, when you log in to the network there is an option to "find my local LPF" - you input postcode and you can sign up to the nearest LPF and get their event notifications via email; I have done this for mine and attended a few events so far.
