One reason why companies used to like a family man. More likely to put up with intolerable conditions. In Jane Austen's time a young man was expected to seek his fortune before marrying. The colonies were convenient as wild oats less likely to come back and haunt you. Madame Butterfly written with this as a theme.
I have no real answer for you.

I would agree with Pharmanaut. You have already put a lot of work into your diploma and it would be a pity to abandon it now. Trust me, you will promise yourself to do all sorts of things when the children are older but it is very hard to go back and start where you left off.
Most big employers, like hospitals, have 'family friendly' policies to try to retain staff and you may be able to reduce your hours (although you may not be able to afford to do so) or they may allow you study time or give you longer to complete the diploma. You are less likely to have these options in community.

I'm not trying to put you off the idea, just advising you to look at all options carefully. A decision made soon after having a new baby or when you are worn out from a tantrum throwing toddler may not be the best one in the long run.

    Well put.
Definitely would remain in hospital for the reasons given.
Talk to your 'boss'. If you don't ask you don't get.
I would not be helping you if I said 'great come on, community pharmacy is such fun, there is no pressure and you always get away from work on time and get the holidays you want'.
Your decision, but please balance the "soft" factors.
Where am I?; In the Pharmacy.
Who are you?; The new Number 2.
Who is number 1?; You are number 6.
    What do you want?;..................
