competitive rate of pay?

I should have guessed!

I was told about a good job: 45h/w £40K pa with targets of 10 MUR pw and monthly Rx target of +6500. Max of 20 MDS pw, and push MAS, stop smoking scheme and free EHC. No breaks, but meals and drinks allowed while working a 9 hour day.
I know this is a lot of money, but a lot of stress too. I think this is a "competitive" wage but not a good one.

Those ours can't be done without breaking employment laws.

The highest starting salary of a graduate leaving Manchester University last year was with Aldi, as a manager. It paid £44k plus a decent Audi. Prospects, assuming you make the grade, are outstanding.

No? Just telling it as it is for the purpose of comparison. They don't take many on but they demand a very high standard so pay well.

Yes 'any old grad' will be going for it but 'any old grad' won't be getting it. Only an exceptional graduate will.

In any field you care to mention a tiny minority get to the top and get the rewards (and stress) that come with that. It is competitive and you must decide first if you are capable of entering the competition and second if you want to.
