    Questions related to newly qualified independent pharmacist

    I'm Newly qualified looking to obtain a job in an independent pharmacy as a second pharmacist where the salary is negotiable and needed some advice;
    1)what is the pay range for a newly qualified second pharmacist in an independent?
    2)what is the minimum pay I should accept the job for?
    3)what additional benefits should I look for? E.g.career progression,bonuses,gphc fees...
    I would appreciate all reply's!

    Re: Questions related to newly qualified independent pharmacist

    1) As much as you can negotiate and as low as the owner can get away with.
    2) Pharmacist apparently offering to work for £12/hour, I suggest min of £20.
    3) 'career progression'---- hardly exists in community. Rest is negotiable.
    Will need to be very large independent to justify second pharmacist. Ideal for you would be older owner looking to retire and someone like you for succession arrangement.
