How to buy a pharmacy business with little capital?

I'm in the very, very early stages of looking into buying a business. I have a minor problem that I don't have a great deal of equity/capital to play with. I've heard of a succession type arrangement. Though how that would work in a practical sense, I'm unsure.

I have had brief, but fruitful chat with a potential seller (potential as well as established business) . They want to sell, not to a multiple, and were keen to discuss further with me. The business has a pretty high turnover, so the usual routes of finance would need a substantial input from me which I simply don't have, and am unlikely to get unless I inherit it.

Basically, does anyone know of other ways to acquire or have experience of succession and how it would be structured? The other option is to ask if you could look down the back of the sofa and if you find a large sum of money, can I borrow it?
