How to find a job in a retail pharmacy as an EU pharmacist?
Hi,
I am a Belgian pharmacist and moved to London 4 months ago.
I have experience working in Belgium, am registered with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and since a few weeks am working part-time for free in an independent pharmacy to gain some experience working in the UK.
How can I get a paid full time position? What are the best ways of applying? What are people looking for when reviewing my CV?

Hi Vally, I am living in London too and I moved here at about 7 months ago. As I understood, it is impossible to get a job without experience in London... So You are lucky to get a chance to work somewhere even for free. Because the experience You will get. How come You find a place? I was trying to get a non-paid possition, but they didn't accept me. Do You know any pharmacy who wish to get a pharmacist for free for some time? I would accept this opportunity gladly

Do you mean impossible in London? UK experience is important. Haven't you checked adverts? EU pharmacists can get a position with 12 months experience only. How come you Belgian people are getting non-paid positions anyway?

I am sorry partner, but you are not right this time.
I was talking to many agencies and they are telling same-everybody wants to work in London
It's normal and it's a competition as well.
I swear you are lucky to get even non-paid place. You can get experience and that write in your CV you got some even a small one. After 6 months minimum you can get a paid job.
Please shear with me-how to get a place like yours?

Really? I thought anyone should be happy to have a person working for free....is he from your country?
I was trying to get position in one arabic pharmacy, but the owner got scared of something. I am thinking of going to other pharmacies and asking to give me a training at least.
And in London you can't see too many European pharmacists indeed
