    Repeat dispensing accrediation

    hi guys,

    where do i obtain accrediation for repeat dispensing? i did the MUR one on CPPE site, i heard you could do the same for repeat dispensing, but can't find the accrediation test.

    My understanding (and memory) is that its a distance learning pack you need, also from the CPPE.

    It was a long time ago, but I think there was an assessment sheet in the distance learning pack that had to be filled in. It was before the days of online assessments. Maybe the CPPE haven't caught up yet with this one.

    Either order or download the material online from CPPE. There is a assessment on CPPE website called NHS Repeat Dispensing.

    Good question.
    We do a degree, then a pre-reg year and pass another exam. You are then qualified to do the work of a pharmacist.
    The core role of a pharmacist is to dispense medicines safely. Repeat dispensing is dispensing something again. How much training or accrediation should a pharmacist need for that?

    When a sheet of A4 could summarise it all in a diagram or list of bullet points.

    Exactly. Repeat dispensing is actually very simple. I have no idea of the purpose behind the ridiculous training pack. I was less knowledgable after I read it than I was before.
