i work for tesco - its 31k mate! and your role will be "duty pharmacy manager" (like me) which means you're technically in charge when the pharmacy manager isnt there. pharmacy manager is the next step up and will earn more cash. duty pharmacy manager is essentially the same job (apparently i'm not working hard enough though ). you do have your balls busted - its targets, its business, all that bollocks.

Lol Shan, I never seen that comment coming. Honestly I didn't Great wit though
Dr Pepper3k, I'm afraid you're being short changed mate, because last year I was offered nearly 36 k to undertake the role as "duty pharmacy manager" with a brand new Tesco pharmacy. Virtually the same figure was offered for a relief role with Boots. In the end I decided to locum instead.
With tesco it depends highly upon the hours contracted and store but i think most offers are in the £34k region, however my store is grade 5 and the pharmacist started on £39k for a 39hr week, most are grade 3 so about £34-36k. £31K is probally for a store doing about 2000 items a month, on a 36hr contract. Take 42hr contract, probally more in the 37k region. I work for tescos brookfield farm, in cheshunt, near headoffice so have reliable sources
most managers with ten years experience are on about 45k for a 36hr week, not bad at all in my opinion, plus handsome shares. I actually condsider them a very good company to work for. I am happy and so are quite a few tescos pharmacists that i know off. My compliments to them
