Seretide - how many prescription charges?

Confusion caused by a colleague's advice: a script for Seredtide entails TWO prescription charges or just ONE?

I'd say it's almost definitely one charge.

combination product but it's formulated as a combination in a single dose. one charge. if seretide came as a 2 inhaler kit then it would be a 2 charge. principle is similar for hrt tablets.

if in doubt over a product's charge status then check the 'notes on charges' section of the drug tariff. all the multi charge items are listed there (be careful to not mix up the professional fee column).

some pmr systems (eg nexphase and proscript) will list the number of charges to be paid on screen before you endorse the script.
