”We are real. We are not glam sh*t or anything else. We are Guns N’ Roses.”
my old manager told me that you dont have to claim for oop expences when sending off the end of month prescriptions as long as you add all the details to the "specials prescription" sounds like she was wrong and weve lost alot of money over the past few years eeeeekkkkkk
Our new manager started a couple of weeks ago so i'll let her know
great thread really interesting

Essentials of endorsing.
England:
Drug tariff website : PPD >> Drug Tariff
The next months tariff is available a few days before the turn of the month.
You might want to check the preface if you are going to order a bulk load of generics.
It will tell you what price you will be paid when you get to dispense them.
Part VIII is available as a spreadsheet. (I think it tells you price incr/decr, but It also has VMPP on it. If you are technical with Excel you could write some kind of comparison thing for successive months, so you can track value)
PSNC : Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee (PSNC)
Sign up for the news feed or check each day.
NCSO and other drug tariff information is posted here regularly.
Read : Drug Tariff Resource Centre · Funding & Drug Tariff · PSNC
Read each section. There is a gem on there but you must scroll right to the bottom 'guidance on endorsing' and FP10 MDA Endorsement guidance.
Log it as CPD (Something like 'Assist prescribers and ensure patients are treated promptly' etc)
Scotland.
ISD Scotland - homepage
Scotland Drug Tariff : Scottish Drug Tariff
Of particular note is part 14 which allows pharmacists 10% rounding discretion.
You can find part 7 (same as part VIII in England) here : Drug Tariff Part 7
The function of the PSNC in Scotland is carried out by "Community Pharmacy Scotland" : Community Pharmacy Scotland :: Community Pharmacy Scotland
One of the places to check is : PCA :: Community Pharmacy Scotland
More to be added as I find it or I remember stuff.

Who thinks we should have a discussion about the rarely used (yawn, for some) and equally badly understood 'DNG' endorsement - how to use it and how not to use it?
Calling all interested saddos
....or maybe about the BB endorsement?
