You can claim additional fees if the shelf life of a reconstituted product means you need to supply them seperately. Antibiotic suspn for more than 7 days is the classic, but could also apply to zineryt.

You can dispense as you wish, as long as the prescription is endorsed properly you will be paid. Lack of endorsement however means you are paid less. Take aspirin for example, you will get paid more if you dispense the rx amount in packs of 32. No endorsement means they will use the 1000 pack size to work out how much to pay you and you'l make less money.

Ive notice this in nearly every pharmacy ive worked, large and small. Aspirin, Paracetamol, Gaviscon, Aqueous Cream, Paracetamol Suspension, Metformin etc, etc. The only way to make money is to play on the pack sizes. BUT... you must order the product! A few independant pharmacies ive worked in are endorsing for smaller pack sizes but ordering the larger ones. If rxs are quered you must prove you brought the stock. I think one of the old Gaviscon cases with the society involved a pharmacist endorsing for 5 x 100ml of gaviscon and when they checked the number of bottles ordered was about 25% of the quantity they should have been ordering in order to forfill the rxs hence a clear case of fraud.

Absolutely. Care should be taken to ensure that pack size endorsements are correct. If ACTs are doing the final check, they need to be trained to check the endorsements as well.
