    Smile Questions about locum pharmacists

Hey I have never worked in the UK before as a pharmacist apart two months where I went to make some practice to a friend's pharmacy.

I am interested to work in the UK and I would like to know what are the pros and cons of a locum pharmacist compares to the ones who are having permanent positions.

Also if there is any chance for someone like me to work as a locum pharmacist. Some companies, are offering special trainings for beginners (around a month) but this is not for locum pharmacists as far as I know....

Would be really helpful if someone could give me a response to those inquiries...

If you are an EU registered pharmacist, then no bar to working in the UK. However. starting as a locum could be dangerous for both you and the patients. Best to start work in a large city pharmacy where two or more other pharmacists.
It may be an advantage if you work where large Italian community, Bedford is one such place. Also, many Italians in Glasgow.
Roberto Peroni runs an Italian language program on BBC Radio Three Counties Radio. You could probably contact him via their website.

    Stratos,
maybe we could try a "job swap" for a few months? I'll go & work with youin your family's Pharmacy in Greece for 2 months in the summer, and you can come and work alongside me in North Wales in the winter, so that we both get to experience what it's like?
(unfortunately for me, your English seems quite a bit better than my Greek- alla prospatho ná mathénó, sigá sigá!)
Ze genuine Article, present & perfect!
